TheraLife is an innovative physical therapy clinic located in St. Clair, Trinidad. We use technology along with hands-on treatment, to improve quality of care and increase patient satisfaction and outcomes. Each patient is provided individual treatment with an expert physical therapist in a serene, welcoming environment. Meet Our Team

Ariane Van Putten

Doctor Of Physical Therapy, DPT
Director and Physical Therapist
Dr. Ariane Van Putten graduated with honors from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology and then continued on to the University of Florida where she earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Her training included a number of clinical internships across the state of Florida where she gained experience in treating patients from a wide variety of rehabilitation settings. In 2014, Ariane returned home to Trinidad and Tobago where she dedicated 7 years of care to patients at Bosscher Physiotherapy. There, she treated a wide range of patient types which included post-surgical, neurological, geriatric and pediatric cases. More recently, Ariane has partnered with her distinguished colleague, Dr. Safiya de Four to co-found the clinic TheraLife Ltd, with the intention of providing skilled and dedicated physiotherapy care to the patients of Trinidad and Tobago. Ariane strives to go above and beyond for her patients, providing dedicated and excellent care to aid in their recovery and healing. She is a keen advocate for continuous professional development and strives to remain current in the dynamic world of evolving physiotherapy knowledge. In her free time, Ariane enjoys exercising to maintain her health, the beach and spending time with her growing family.

Safiya de Four

Director and Physical Therapist
Dr. Safiya de Four earned both her Bachelors degree in Sports Medicine and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Howard University in Washington, DC. After completing her studies and practical training in 2016, she returned home to Trinidad and Tobago to serve in the public sector, at Port-of-Spain General Hospital. After 4 years of care to a myriad of patients in both the public and private care systems, she was ready to branch out and begin building her dream clinic. She then forged a partnership with an equally passionate and motivated physical therapist, Dr. Ariane Van Putten to co-found the company TheraLife Limited, with the goal to create an exceptional, specialised experience for each patient that they are of service. Safiya strives to educate and empower her patients to understand their symptoms and bodies, so that they are able to achieve their personal goals without limitations. She is passionate about furthering her education and staying up-to-date on this continually progressing profession. In her free time, Safiya enjoys being outdoors with her family, travelling, sewing, and staying active through weight training and running.

Raejean Small

Raejean is a dedicated Physiotherapist from Trinidad and Tobago who is passionate about helping people move better and live healthier lives. She graduated with honors from The University of the West Indies, Mona Campus, in 2016 and was recognized on the Dean’s List for her academic excellence. Following graduation, Raejean returned to Trinidad and Tobago, where she completed her clinical internship at Port of Spain General Hospital in 2018. She then spent five years working within the public healthcare system, gaining extensive experience treating patients across the lifespan—from pediatric to geriatric populations. During her time in the public health sector, Raejean worked in acute care, sub-acute care, and outpatient rehabilitation, managing a wide range of conditions including orthopedic, neurological, and cardiopulmonary disorders. In 2021, she also served on the frontlines in the Intensive Care Unit, providing physiotherapy care for patients affected by COVID-19 during the pandemic. In addition to hospital-based care, Raejean has experience providing home health physiotherapy services, supporting patients with conditions such as stroke, Parkinson’s disease, arthritis, and post-operative recovery. She is also committed to community health education and participates annually in outreach initiatives such as the Barataria Health and Wellness Fair, where she educates the public on the importance of movement and the benefits of physiotherapy. Raejean is a self-driven and motivated physiotherapist whose mission is simple: to help Trinidad move better.
